HUNA Connects with the Tampa Bay Rowdies

HUNA was excited to welcome Justin Khu of the Tampa Bay Rowdies to our August 13 board meeting to talk about ways our neighborhood can connect with the team—both this fall and in the future.

First up is HUNA Night at the Rowdies! Neighbors are invited to join us on Saturday, October 24, 2026, as the Tampa Bay Rowdies take on Sporting Jax at St. Pete’s own Al Lang Stadium.

The match kicks off at 7:30 p.m., with specially discounted $16 tickets available for HUNA neighbors. The evening will also include a post-match fireworks show, and HUNA will have a dedicated section so neighbors can enjoy the game together. Space is limited, so be sure to claim your seats before they're gone!

Looking Ahead to 2027

During the meeting, we also had a great conversation with Justin about creating a special Rowdies event for neighborhood kids at Millennium Youth Park in 2027.

We’re currently working together on the idea, which would include a soccer clinic led by the Rowdies for older children, along with a fun play-based activity and a visit from the Rowdies mascot for younger kids.

The details are still being developed, but we’re excited about the possibility of bringing the Rowdies directly into our neighborhood for an event designed especially for Historic Uptown families.
